- ZONID creates a short ID for the place where you are, using your phone's GPS. You can share only the ID.
- We use your mobile number only to log you in (OTP).
- A Location you save is private to you. A Shop you save is public: its name, category, address, phone number and location can be seen by other ZONID users.
- We do not sell your data and we do not show ads.
- You can delete any ZONID, or your whole account, inside the app at any time.
1. Who we are
ZONID ("we", "us") is the developer and operator of the ZONID Android app. This policy explains what information the app collects, why, who can see it, and what choices you have. Questions: zonidofficial@gmail.com.
2. Information we collect

To work out state, district and town for a ZONID, the app may ask Android's location-name service (Geocoder, provided by Google or your device maker) to convert coordinates into an address. We do not control that service.
We do not collect your contacts, photos, files, messages, or advertising ID.
3. How we use information
- To log you in and keep your account secure.
- To create, store, share, search and delete ZONIDs.
- To show Location and Shop search results, Nearby Shops, distances and map links.
- To prevent abuse and keep the service working.
We do not use your information for advertising and we do not sell it.
4. Who can see your information
- Account details such as mobile number and user ID are not shown to other users.
- A ZONID you create: anyone who knows the exact ZONID can look it up in the app and see its location on a map. Share it only with people you trust.
- A Location does not appear in other users' search results. Only you can find it by name.
- A Shop is public to logged-in ZONID users. Its name, category, address, contact number and location can appear in Search by Name and Nearby Shops.
- Service providers: Google Firebase (Authentication and Cloud Firestore) is used to run the app. Google processes data under its own terms and privacy policy.
- We may disclose information if the law requires it.
5. Where data is stored and how it is protected
Data is stored in Google Firebase / Google Cloud and sent over encrypted HTTPS/TLS connections. Database security rules are designed to allow users to change or delete only their own records. Google's servers may be located outside India.
No system is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable steps to protect your information.
6. How long we keep data
We keep your information until you delete a ZONID or delete your account. Deleted records are removed from our active database straight away. Copies that Google keeps in backups and logs are removed on Google's normal schedule.
7. Your choices and rights
- Edit: use My ZONIDs → Edit details to change or remove name, address, category or phone number, or change a Shop back to a private Location.
- Delete a ZONID: My ZONIDs → Delete.
- Delete your account and all data: Home → Delete account, then confirm with an OTP. See how to delete your account.
- Location permission: turn it off in your phone settings. You will then not be able to create a ZONID, and distances and Nearby Shops will not work.
- Other requests: email zonidofficial@gmail.com. We will respond within the period required by applicable law, including India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023.
8. App permissions
- Location (precise and approximate): to create a ZONID, show distance and find nearby shops. The app uses location only while you are using it, not in the background.
- Internet / network state: to log in and read/write your data.
9. Children
ZONID is not meant for children under 18. We do not knowingly collect information from them. If you believe a child has used the app, email us and we will delete the account.
10. Changes to this policy
If we change this policy, we will update the date at the top and, for important changes, tell you in the app.

5. Data storage & security
Data Google Firebase / Google Cloud-ல் சேமிக்கப்படுகிறது; HTTPS/TLS மூலம் அனுப்பப்படுகிறது. Google servers இந்தியாவுக்கு வெளியிலும் இருக்கலாம்.
6. Data retention
நீங்கள் ZONID அல்லது account-ஐ நீக்கும் வரை தகவலை வைத்திருப்போம். Active database-ல் deleted records உடனடியாக நீக்கப்படும்; Google backups/logs-ல் உள்ள copies அதன் normal schedule படி நீக்கப்படும்.
7. உங்கள் உரிமைகள்
- Edit: My ZONIDs → Edit details.
- Delete ZONID: My ZONIDs → Delete.
- Delete account: Home → Delete account → OTP confirm. Delete Account page-ஐப் பாருங்கள்.
- Location permission: phone settings-ல் off செய்யலாம்; பின்னர் ZONID creation, distance மற்றும் Nearby Shops வேலை செய்யாது.
- Access/correction/erasure போன்ற requests-க்கு zonidofficial@gmail.com-க்கு எழுதலாம்.
8. App permissions
- Location — ZONID creation, distance மற்றும் Nearby Shops; background location பயன்படுத்தப்படாது.
- Internet/network — Login மற்றும் data read/write.
9. Children
ZONID 18 வயதுக்குக் குறைந்தவர்களுக்காக அல்ல. அவர்களிடமிருந்து knowingly data சேகரிக்க மாட்டோம்.
10. Policy changes
மாற்றங்கள் ஏற்பட்டால் மேலே உள்ள date-ஐ update செய்வோம்; முக்கியமான மாற்றங்களை app-ல் தெரிவிப்போம்.
